We established Maddy's Memory - Casting & Photography after the loss of our firstborn daughter Maddy, during the second trimester of pregnancy. We were never given the opportunity to have Castings and Photographs taken of our baby, which meant we were never able to make life-long memory keepsakes of our little girl. We realised that not only was there a need for these services, but that there should also be no burden, financial or otherwise, as to whether bereaved families receive keepsakes of their precious babies and children after they are gone.
It began with the legacy of a little girl, who although so tiny, left such a huge imprint on our hearts. We wanted our free memory making services to honour our daughter, so we settled on the name "Maddy's Memory".
We wanted the logo to reflect our little girl, something we could feel proud to put her name to. Wild Rabbits always remind us of her because we see them every time we visit her final resting place. Purple Butterflies were placed in the centre pieces at our wedding as a way to incorporate her into our special day and our kids blow the seeds of dandelions whenever they find them to send wishes and kisses to the stars to reach their big sister, these were all the things that we somehow wanted to blend together to create our logo. We were so blessed when an amazing graphics designer, Carla Moore, volunteered her services and created a logo that was everything we could have asked for and more, it perfectly captured every essence of our daughter's memory and so it began - our journey to provide other families with all the tangible memories we never got to make.
